Our final lunchtime session of the year will look at the current state of the industry and what next year may bring.
It's been a strange 12 months, with a significant number of experienced crew out of work and many productions waiting all year to be greenlit. Join us for a half-hour, whistle-stop tour of where UK film and TV crew stand in late 2026, and what the months ahead might bring.
Helen Johnson is the founder of Talking Point, which creates training and mentoring programmes for Art Department, Set Decoration and Props crew at every stage of their careers.
She also researches and consults for studios, streamers, the BFI and production companies, so she sees the industry from both sides: the crew on the ground and the organisations making the decisions. Helen will be sharing what she's seeing in the industry right now and what we might expect for 2027.
