Our next Filmbase session - sponsored by Compuhire - is with VFX Art Director and Senior Art Director Claire Fleming. 

Claire is currently VFX Art Director on all four of the highly anticipated Beatles biopics, and her recent credits include Digger, as Supervising Art Director, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 as Art Director.

Much of her work has been in VFX - she was VFX Mo Cap Art Director on Ready Player One, and was VFX Art Director on Terminator: Dark Fate and The Witches. She also worked as Supervising VFX Art Director at Epic Games developing films.

So Claire is well-placed to explain what VFX work entails and how you get into it.

Claire will start the webinar with a short show-and-tell, demonstrating some of the VFX work she has done.

We’ll also be asking Claire about her experiences of directing no less than eight short films. She started out as an Art Department Runner in 2007 and will have great advice for those looking for their first credits now.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your career in Art Directing or VFX Art Directing, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight from an experienced industry professional.
