Our next Filmbase Session is with Assistant Set Decorator Rachel Rolfe.
This session is for any crew who are interested in the role of Assistant Set Decorator - how it fits in with the rest of the department, what skills you need, what daily working life is like, advice for juniors who want to step up, and lots more!
We'll also be talking to Rachel about her route into the film industry - she had a successful career in Event Designing beforehand.
Since then she's worked on Paddington in Peru, the One Day TV series, The Swimmers and Lockwood & Co among others. She was Set Decorator on the A24 production Medusa Deluxe.
Rachel has a great understanding of the film and TV industry and we'll be asking her where the industry is headed in 2025, about AI, and some of the other issues that affect the Set Dec department.
