USEFUL LINKS | BAFTA ▲ Bafta is an independent British charity that supports, develops & promotes the art forms of the moving image. Members must have 5 years of experience in the industry and fulfil other criteria. Members can vote in the annual Film, Television, Television Craft, Games and Children's Awards.BECTU ▲ BECTU is the media and entertainment union for freelancers working in film and TV. All the different departments have their own branches. The Props branch of BECTU represents all Dressing Props and Prop Modellers. The branch has a committee made up of Props crew who volunteer their time to work on campaigns in support of the Props Department's interests.There is also a Bectu Official who represents the Props Branch and can help BECTU members with issues such as non-payment of invoices, harassment and bullying cases and working conditions and contracts.British Film Designers Guild ▲ A guild for members of the Art Department and Props Masters, that organises networking events and publishes industry news and information on their website.British Film Commission ▲ The British Film Commission (BFC) is the national agency with a remit to maximise and support the production of international feature film and television in the UK. The BFC has produced the government approved set guidelines for working conditions during Covid 19 called 'The Film & TV Production Code of Practice'.British Film Institute ▲ The BFI is the UK's lead organisation and charity for film, television and the moving image. The organisation provides reports on the status of the industry, and allocated funding.The Graphics Union ▲ A directory of graphic designers working in the UK Film and TV industry.
